Education

I grew up in California and earned my Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies from Sonoma State Univerity. Then I attended Dominican University of California where I earned my teaching crediential and my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I completed my thesis on mnemonics. I love incorporating music, chants and movements into my classroom to help my students get the most out of their learning everyday!

Experience

I am excited to start my 9th year of teaching, but my first at The Heights! I have taught, kindergarten and 4th grade as a classroom teacher. I was also a K-5 Title 1 teacher servicing small groups in both math and reading. Being a teacher has been a life long goal of mine! I decided I wanted to be a teacher when I was in the 4th grade and from that point on I’ve never stopped pursuing my goal. Even now, I love to take new classes and collaborate with colleagues to make my classroom the best it can possibly be!

Bio

My husband (Rob), our two dogs, and I just moved here from Massachusetts in July. Rob and I are both northern California natives though, so we are thrilled to be back on the west coast! When I am not teaching or thinking about school I like to cook, craft, and go on adventures with Rob and the dogs.
