Here is, perhaps, more information about me than you expected! I spent my first five years in Walnut Creek, California. My family then moved to Monmouth, Oregon, where I attended school from 1st to 12th grade. (I actually attended Lycee des Eaux Claires in Grenoble, France for my 7th grade year.) After graduating from Oregon State University, I got married and moved to Santa Cruz, California for four years. We then returned to Oregon, where we have lived since 1991. (We taught school in Parimaribo, Suriname, South America, for the 2004-2005 school year.) My husband and I have three grown children, with whom we love to travel. We live on the Necanicum River here in Seaside, and enjoy kayaking, canoeing, and if the sun is out: enjoying sunshine! One of my favorite things to do is curl up on a cold winter's day with a cup of tea and a good book...or lounge under an umbrella on a warm beach with a glass of ice water and a good book. Whether I'm cold or warm, reading is one of my favorite things to do. Another activity, which gets me truly active, is hiking...and the Sierra Nevada is the best place for that! Recently I've discovered Pickle Ball, so I have been enjoying that, as well.
I am thrilled to have the honor of teaching your little ones, and helping them unwrap the wonder of learning!
