The 2019-2020 school year will mark my 30th year in the field of education! I was born and spent most of my life in University Place, WA, which is just outside the city of Tacoma. There, I taught first grade, high school Drama and English, and junior high Drama and Journalism. I also worked with local parks' district programs and directed numerous children's theatre productions. After 12 years, I entered the field of Educational Counseling..
My husband and I moved to the Seaside area 18 years ago to pursue a dream of living in a smaller community where we could forge stronger relationships (and have less traffic!) After working in the Astoria School District for two years, I came to the Seaside School District in 2003, and have been here ever since.
In my spare time, I enjoy pursuing genealogy, finding and collecting vintage toys and dolls, breeding and showing the marvelous Burmese cat, camping, walking, and being entertained by my three spoiled felines.
