About the Teacher

Bio

For the past 18 years, I have been teaching the Developmental Classroom at Seaside Heights Elementary. I love working with students who have disabilities. I enjoy being able to learn about them and discover ways that I can help them become more independent. Together we enjoy opportunities to explore and be engaged in our school community.

Before teaching at Seaside Heights Elementary, I taught for five years in Utah. I taught in Self Contained Special Education classrooms for students with behavior disorders and students with severe learning disabilities. In addition, I was an Autism Spectrum Consultant on the district autism team. I received wonderful training during these assignments and am grateful for that background knowledge that I use everyday in my current classroom.
